“Daphne” is a short thriller/horror film that takes place in the mountains of New Jersey. The storyline and setting made me feel like I was watching a macabre sort of fairytale. So in order to capture that feeling of dark mystery and ethereality, I wrote a score that revolved around woodwind instruments, like flutes and recorders, as well as mallet and hand percussion, like bells and bongos.
